Create Custom Functions

I know that I often reach for the mouse to format cells, create formulas and navigate the worksheet/workbook.  However, Excel has many keyboard shortcuts that can prevent you from having to use the mouse.  

Here are a few of these shortcuts.  If you want to see them all, open Excel and search for "Keyboard Shortcut" in Help.

Formatting
Ctrl + B Apply or remove bold formatting
Ctrl + U Apply or remove underline formatting
Ctrl + I Apply or remove italic formatting
Ctrl + Shift + $ Apply the Currency format with two decimal places and negative numbers in parenthesis
Ctrl + Shift + % Apply the Percent format with no decimal places
Ctrl + Shift + ! Apply the Number format with two decimal places, commas, and minus sign (-) for negative numbers
Ctrl + Shift + & Apply the outline border
Ctrl + Shift + _ Remove the outline border
Moving and Scrolling in a workbook or worksheet
Ctrl + Home Move to the beginning of worksheet
Ctrl + End Move to the intersection of the rightmost used column and bottom-most used row.
Ctrl + Page Down Move to next sheet in workbook
Ctrl + Page Up Move to previous sheet in workbook
Selecting Ranges in Worksheet
Ctrl + Spacebar Select the entire column
Shift + Spacebar Select the entire row
Ctrl + A Select the entire worksheet
Ctrl + C Copy the selection
Ctrl + X Cut the selection
Ctrl + P Paste the selection
Delete Clear the contents of the selection
Ctrl + -(hyphen) Delete the selection
Ctrl + Z Undo the last action
